I am trying out my first post. I have some experience with blogging, but not with this specific blog. I graduated from WSU in November 2009 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I then substitute taught in West Carrollton City Schools for about a month. I was then hired as a K-2 Literacy Teacher for a school in Huber Heights. I absolutely loved this position and it increased my motivation to pursue a Masters in Reading Education. That position ended with the end of the school year, but I was then hired on as a Second Grade Teacher at the same school in Huber Heights for this coming school year. I am excited for this new teaching experience. Since I am starting this new position in August, I decided that the age level focus of my blog project will be second grade. This way I can gather ideas for lessons that I can use this coming school year.
